About Teach for America
Teach For America is the national corps of top recent college graduates who commit to teach for at least two years in urban and rural public schools and become lifelong leaders in the effort to expand educational opportunity. Our mission is to build the movement to eliminate educational inequity by enlisting the nation’s most promising future leaders in the effort.

In the 2009-10 school year, over 7,300 first- and second-year Teach For America corps members will teach in 35 regions across the United States. Since 1990, Teach For America corps members have reached approximately 3 million students. Nearly 17,000 Teach For America alumni are working in education and many other fields, where they continue to advocate for students and families in low-income communities.

Manager/Director of Strategy for Human Assets
The Strategy function within Human Assets is responsible for conducting short and long term research projects on human capital issues that help the organization drive rapid and effective responses and arrive at optimal decisions.

Primary responsibilities and actives would include but are not limited to:
- Defining strategic issues and possible “solution spaces”

- Analyzing large sets of quantitative data and deriving insights

- Gathering information from third parties through interviews, research, surveys, etc.

- Participating in and actively contributing to team problem solving sessions

- Completing deliverables during strategy projects that push the team’s thinking forward

- Developing powerpoint presentations that communicate complex ideas clearly to senior most executives, stakeholders, and teams

- Delivering analyses that provide recommendations and options for responding to strategic human capital issues

- Managing one’s individual deliverables and overall strategic projects to meet deadlines and overcome obstacles

- Mentoring and managing junior members of the team to increase the analytical and project management skills

- Clear and concise written and oral communication

- Project management

Preferred profile:
3-5 years of management consulting experience
