Sesha Joi Moon, PhD

Senior Human Capital Strategist, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office

Dr. Sesha Joi Moon is a Senior Human Capital Strategist at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. During her time with the Department, she has received the Commerce Spirit Award and was profiled for the Spotlight on Commerce. She is also a senior fellow of the Excellence in Government Fellowship with the Partnership for Public Service. Her past experience includes work as a Senior Consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton and Special Assistant within the immediate office of the Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Secretary of Administration at the U.S. Department of Commerce.

She holds a Ph.D. from Old Dominion University, as well as a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Black Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University.  She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc and the Board of Directors for the Afrikana Independent Film Festival. She is also the Chief Content Curator of Angry Black Female, which is a popular curated instacommunity for conscious conversation.  She hales from Richmond, VA and currently resides in Northern Virginia with her wife, Coach Janice Pritchett.
