Stephanie Miller

Director of Evaluation and Data Management, Communities in Schools

Stephanie R. Miller is the Director of Evaluation and Data Management for Communities In Schools’ (CIS) national office.  She is responsible for overseeing the development of CIS’s data system and dashboard to help the network improve the collection of important information about students, schools, and services; for increasing the capacity of CIS affiliates to use and evaluate data for improved decision-making; for managing external evaluations of CIS (both nationally and locally); and for leading the research and data team. Prior to joining CIS, Stephanie worked for the Council for Opportunity in Education. She has a Ph.D. in Urban Education from Temple University, a master’s degree in Education Policy and Research from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor and two bachelor’s degrees (one in Journalism and the other in African-American Studies) from the University of Maryland – College Park.
