2010 Inspire Fellows Graduate, Celebrating a Year of Accomplishments
On Tuesday evening, ProInspire’s second class of Inspire Fellows gathered with family, friends, alumni, board members and partners of the organization to celebrate their accomplishments over the last year. The atmosphere was relaxed, the food was delicious and the drinks were flowing.
After giving everyone some time to mingle, Monisha Kapila, ProInspire’s Founder and CEO, kicked off the event. She first took some time to welcome everyone then passed the program on to Lucila, our Program Manager as well as a 2009 alumna, who led the introductions each Fellow. In addition to learning more about the background and future plans of each one, Lucila also announced class superlatives and presented everyone with a yearbook.
Once the graduation event wrapped up, the Fellows along with ProInspire staff and friends headed out to Karaoke where they sang the night away to everything from songs by Journey to Madonna to Babyface. Consensus is that the night was a raging success!

ProInspire started three years ago when Monisha attended a Bridgespan Group event about the leadership deficit in the nonprofit sector. From the discussions that were held that day, she eventually decided that she wanted to start an organization that leveraged the skills and passion of business professionals to meet the workforce needs of local nonprofits.
In 2009, the pilot class of Inspire Fellows went through two days of orientation and started their new careers in the nonprofit sector. In 2010, ProInspire grew from five to twelve Fellows. After completing their year in the program, Fellows have moved on to do a myriad of things. Some stay at their organizations, sometimes in a new role. Some pursue careers elsewhere and others go on to grad school.
The success of the last two classes leaves us both excited to see the amazing things our alumni continue to do over time as well as eager to kick-off the year with our 2011 Fellows!
