Inspire Fellows pilot kicks-off!

On Monday we kicked off the pilot Inspire Fellows program with a 2-day orientation! 5 Fellows from our pilot class participated and they are a very enthusiastic group.

We will be posting more information about the Fellows soon, but here is where they will be working:
– Matt Chou, Living Cities
– Rashan Jibowu, City First Enterprises
– Meg McCann, Family Health International
– Nick Takamine, Family Health International
– John Wilson, ACCION International

We had a great time getting to know each other and preparing for a transition into the nonprofit sector. Some of the highlights from the training included:
– Welcome from our Board Member, Pratichi Shah, who spoke about her own transition into the nonprofit sector
– Breakfast with the hiring partners for Inspire Fellows
– Hearing from nonprofit leaders about their career paths, including Rick Moyers at the Meyer Foundation and Kae Dakin at Kae Dakin Consulting
– Developing a transition strategy to learn quickly in the new roles
– Doing a case discussion about Year Up (facilitated by our Summer Associate, Kareem Hall)
– Happy hour!

Look forward to hearing more from the Inspire Fellows in the coming year as they transition into the nonprofit sector.
