Marie LeBlanc

Director of Design, Independent Sector

Marie LeBlanc is the director of design at Independent Sector (IS). In this role, Marie aligns programs and teams to IS’ strategic frameworks and builds internal capacity to use lean and human-centered design. Marie has worked at IS for seven years, contributing to a variety of sector impact and leadership programs. Prior, Marie was the community partnerships coordinator at the Catalogue for Philanthropy: Greater Washington. Outside of the office, Marie loves to travel and volunteer, and has supported organizations like the Washington English Center, Free Minds Book Club, and the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Washington, DC (YNPNdc). Marie has bachelor’s degrees in international affairs, French and Spanish from the Florida State University and a master’s degree in development studies from the London School of Economics. She lives in Washington, DC with her playful cat Minerva.
