ProInspire Advisory Board Member, Nora Gardner, Selected as 2015 Working Mother of the Year
Congratulations to Nora Gardner for her selection as 2015 Working Mother of the Year! Nora has been on ProInspire’s Advisory Board since 2012. She is currently on ProInspire’s Strategy Steering Committee and also served on our advisory council for the design and launch of Managing for Success.
Nora is a Partner at McKinsey & Co, has two young daughters, and tries her best to be present at both work and at home. Nora leads the collaboration between McKinsey’s Organization and Public Sector practices, including client service and knowledge development in the areas of human capital, leadership development and human capital analytics. Last year she co-authored a McKinsey paper, What social-sector leaders need to succeed. In addition, Nora co-leads the office women’s initiative and the social impact group which connects consultants to work pro bono at local non-profits. In order to manage both work and home, Nora suggests being open to change, communication, and laughing through difficult times. According to Nora, “Becoming a parent has deepened my relationships,” she says. “I am a better counselor to my clients while ensuring that I’m present for my family.”
We appreciate Nora’s continued support of ProInspire, and her modeling of great leadership at home, work, and the community. Congratulations Nora!
