ProInspire Releases 2016 Impact Report

While we wrap up the #BeBold campaign and prepare for down time over the holidays, we are pleased to share with you our 2016 Impact Report. This report represents our continued effort to provide more transparency around our work: what went well, where we can improve, and how together these insights will guide our work going forward.

ProInspire 2016 Impact Report

This year was a true inflection point for ProInspire. Some highlights include:

We developed more leaders. Over 400 leaders participated in our programs this year, up from 150 in 2015.

We expanded our geographic reach. Through a partnership with the Kresge Foundation, the ProInspire Leadership Institute brings our leadership development programs to seven cities across the country in 2016-2017, including new locations such as Philadelphia, Memphis, and Detroit.

We defined our bold goal and strategies. We completed our strategic planning process with a clear mandate and direction for our work. Our bold goal for impact is that social sector organizations have high performing leaders at all levels in order to fulfill their missions. We have three strategies to support this goal and we are developing initiatives to support them in 2017 and beyond. (Read more about our bold goal and strategies here.)

We sharpened our focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Now more than ever, we need strong voices speaking up in support of a more diverse and equitable social sector. We assumed a leadership role in this effort across a number of initiatives, including the launch of Equity in the Center and our work as curation partner for Independent Sector’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Focus Area.

We found strength through collaboration. We learned that we cannot do this work alone. We participated in a number of collaborative efforts to advance DEI efforts (see above). We also brought together over 46 fellowship programs at the first-ever Impact Fellowships Summit, to build community, identify common challenges, and share best practices.

While we have many points of celebration, we also have an ambitious agenda as we drive towards our bold goal. We invite you to #BeBold in 2017 – please make a donation to help us reach our $30,000 fundraising goal.

Our progress is only possible with the support of our community: alumni, fellows, partners, volunteers, donors, funders, and others who share our commitment to social sector talent and to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We thank you for your support of our work and we invite your continued engagement as we drive towards our bold goal.

On behalf of the entire ProInspire team, we wish you a restful holiday and the strength to #BeBold in 2017.
