ProInspire to Launch Flagship Fellows Program in San Francisco Bay Area
In fall of 2012, ProInspire will place outstanding business professionals with leading nonprofits in Bay Area
Washington, DC—ProInspire, a nonprofit organization that develops the next generation of nonprofit leaders, announced today that it will launch their flagship program, the ProInspire Fellowship, in the Bay Area this fall. Based in Washington, DC, ProInspire recruits outstanding professionals with 2-5 years of business experience who want to use their skills to make a difference in the world. The highly competitive ProInspire Fellowship offers a one-year position with a leading nonprofit organization, monthly trainings with a cohort of peers, a coach, and opportunities for networking and professional development.
Fellows will work with grantees of Tipping Point Community and other Bay Area organizations focused on poverty alleviation through community and economic development, education, family wellness, social investing, and youth programs. Hiring partners include the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center, SingleStop USA, and Year Up Bay Area. ProInspire is currently recruiting candidates for the fall class.
“ProInspire Fellows are passionate, ambitious young business professionals who want to put their talent to work for the greater good,” said Monisha Kapila, Founder and CEO of ProInspire. “We are thrilled to place them with nonprofits that have a proven record of fighting poverty in the Bay Area and beyond, and we look forward to working together to build the next generation of nonprofit leaders.”
ProInspire is actively considering other nonprofit partners based in the San Francisco Bay Area to be part of the Fellowship program. Since 2009, ProInspire has placed ProInspire Fellows with leading nonprofits in the Washington, DC area, including ACCION International, Cesar Chavez Public Charter Schools, City First Enterprises, GAVI Alliance, National 4-H Council, Washington Area Community Investment Fund, and Year Up.
