In Reflection and Solidarity: Anti-Asian Hate

This Women’s History Month, we are celebrating the amazing and dynamic women on our team and around the globe. Every day, we are dedicated to highlighting and supporting all women who are leading in the social sector and accelerating equity at all levels. However, we cannot begin to discuss equity if we do not first condemn and address the increasing racism, vitriol and violence targeting Asian-American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities. Our hearts and minds are with the victims of the recent Atlanta area mass shooting, where six of the eight victims were women of Asian descent.

This month, we at Proinspire are reminded of the great leaps toward progress we have made and are still working towards. We are also constantly reminded that there is still work to be done in the world, in this country, and in our communities. Each one of us has a responsibility to serve as a change agent, especially when it comes to leading in the social sector and in our philanthropic efforts now and into the future.

As we continue onward, let us not forget that although we have much to celebrate during these unprecedented times, we must match that uncertainty with a steadfast vision for the future.

Sincerely,

The ProInspire team
