Accion International, Senior Investment Analyst
Alice Tang is a ProInspire Fellow at Accion, a global nonprofit dedicated to building a financially inclusive world with access to economic opportunity for all, by giving people the financial tools they need to improve their lives. Alice works across Accion’s Gateway Fund and Venture Lab. At the Gateway Fund, which invests in traditional microfinance institutions, Alice conducts financial analysis, execution and monitoring for equity investments in Asia as well as provides business development support to portfolio companies, with a primary focus on China. Alice also supports Venture Lab, an impact investing initiative that provides seed capital and support to innovative startups committed to financial inclusion, by sourcing and identifying potential deal opportunities in China. Before joining Accion, Alice worked as an investment banker at HSBC Hong Kong for three years, supporting capital markets and M&A transactions in the Power, Utilities and Renewables sector in Asia Pacific. Alice graduated from the Stern School of Business at New York University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Statistics. Outside of work, Alice enjoys traveling, reading, strolling through farmer’s markets, and learning new languages.
