Carolyn Kent

National 4-H Council, Board Analyst

Carolyn Kent is passionate about the intersection of international development and entrepreneurship. She graduated from Duke University in 2008 and focused her studies on international development, global health and social entrepreneurship. After graduation, she gained significant experience in strategic planning as a Consultant at Ascendient and then applied these skills in the field of international development as a Municipal Development Peace Corps volunteer in rural Guatemala. During this time in Guatemala, she worked with community leaders and youth to manage the fundraising, budgeting, design, and construction of a 1,000 sq. ft. Mayan Educational Center made with recycled materials and secured a $35,000 start-up grant for the Center from the InterAmerican Foundation. Carolyn is currently a 2013 ProInspire fellow working as a Board Strategy Analyst at National 4-H Council and also assists with Council’s emerging global partnerships.
