Juliet Mohnkern

Director of Public Policy and Curriculum Innovation, Cesar Chavez Public Charter Schools for Public Policy

Juliet Mohnkern is the Director of Public Policy and Curriculum Innovation for Cesar Chavez Public Charter Schools for Public Policy. In this role, Juliet supports teachers and leaders in fulfilling the school’s mission to empower students to create a more just, free, and equal world through implementing a rigorous curriculum and authentic assessments. Juliet is a member of the class of 2013 Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development Emerging Leaders and a founding contributor to the website Education to Save the World. Prior to her current role, she taught the senior thesis course at Chavez Schools and worked at MATCH Public Charter School in Boston. Outside of the formal education setting, Juliet designed curriculum and taught human rights with Amnesty International, international development with the Student Movement for Real Change, and nonviolence with Columbia University’s Peace by P.E.A.C.E program. Juliet has a BA in Classics from Boston College and MA in Ethics, Peace Studies, and Global Affairs from American University.
