Kiara Walters

College Summit, Project Manager

Kiara Walters is a ProInspire Fellow at College Summit, a college access organization focused on preparing high school students for college and career by leveraging peer influence to create college going cultures within schools. At College Summit, Kiara serves as the Project Manager for the innovation team helping to develop and rollout breakthrough, sustainable innovations that improve student results. Kiara graduated from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with a degree in Marketing. Upon graduation, she participated in the Technical Marketing Development Program at Caterpillar as a Marketing Representative. Her focus was on developing tools to help improve dealer service operations. She then transitioned into a liaison role, as territory operations manager, providing support to Caterpillar dealers on achieving service operations excellence. In this position her responsibility included process improvement, customer loyalty, and development of capacity and capability within dealerships. Kiara also spent time in account management and sales while at Vocus, an online marketing and PR software company. Outside of work, Kiara enjoys traveling, staying active, real estate investing, and enjoying good food and fellowship with friends and family. She also regularly volunteers as a mentor with BUILD DC and Michelle in Training as well as other youth development organizations focused on college access and leadership development.
