Grants and Contracts Manager, La Clinica del Pueblo

Kristin Queen Shaffer is the Grants and Contracts Manager at La Clínica del Pueblo, a community based health clinic located in the heart of Washington, DC. She currently oversees La Clínica del Pueblo’s $3.5 million grants and contracts portfolio that includes federal, state and private foundation grants and manages a team of two. In addition to grants management and administration, her career has included large and small scale event planning and execution as well as volunteer and program management. Prior experience has included working on a variety of issues such as women’s health and reproductive rights, campaign finance reform, hunger relief and leadership development within the disabilities community. Kristin moved to the DC area thirteen and half years ago after attending the University of the South, Sewanee – making her almost a native Washingtonian.
