Mundo Verde Public Charter School, Operations Manager

Lynda Correa is a ProInspire Fellow at Mundo Verde Bilingual Public Charter School, Washington D.C.’s first Spanish immersion charter school focused on sustainability. As Operations Manager, she is helping to develop the operational framework for this start-up school. Lynda comes to Mundo Verde from the Greater Los Angeles area, where she previously worked as an Executive Team Leader for Target managing the sales floor of a 60 million dollar store. Lynda graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.A. in Organizational and Interpersonal Communication. She also played the trumpet in The Greatest Marching Band In The History Of The Universe, The Spirit of Troy, and says it was one of her favorite college experiences. In addition, Lynda currently volunteers at the Smithsonian Latino Center with their flagship youth development program of which she is an alumna, The Young Ambassadors Program, which serves to foster the next generation of Latino leaders in STEM, Arts and Humanities. Lynda is an enthusiastic dancer of Latin music, and has been known to do impromptu performances on the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center, the Columbia Heights splash pad, metro stations and generally anywhere there is music.
