Nick Hamlin

GlobalGiving Foundation, Operations Associate

Nick Hamlin is a ProInspire Fellow at the GlobalGiving Foundation, an online marketplace that facilitates the exchange of funding and ideas between donors and grassroots development projects around the world. As part of the Operations team, Nick facilitates disbursement processes and leads the QA and documentation of the current system redesign. He also works closely with GlobalGiving’s database to generate custom analyses, reports, and KPIs. Prior to joining GlobalGiving, Nick worked in the Pittsburgh as a reliability consulting engineer for the Parametric Technology Corporation, where he led implementations of reliability software solutions and designed and delivered custom training courses to global Fortune 500 firms. In addition, he volunteers and serves on the board of the Cameroon Football Development Program, a Pittsburgh-based NGO serving West African youth through soccer and education work. Nick graduated magna cum laude from the University of Rochester as a Renaissance Scholar with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a B.A. in History. He is also an enthusiastic performer of outdoor music, both as a solo folk act on the National Mall and on digeridoo and plastic bucket at the Meridian Hill Drum Circle.
