Nicolas Takamine

FHI 360, Strategy & Analysis Officer

Nicolas is a ProInspire Fellow at FHI 360, where he is strengthening management systems and processes; developing tools and analyses to aid management in decision making; and supporting the design and implementation of a dashboard system to monitor strategic performance. He began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst with Merrill Lynch, where he advised on merger and acquisition, leveraged buyout, and initial public offering transactions for clients in the food, drug, and convenience retail sectors. Nicolas has volunteered in strategy and organizational development at a number of social profit organizations, including a fellowship in microenterprise development with Women’s Initiative for Self Employment. Nicolas graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Business Administration from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.

Post Fellowship: Nicolas remained at FHI 360 after his fellowship, where he supported strategic planning and was a key leader in the organization’s acquisition of the Academy for Educational Development (AED) and the post-merger integration that followed. He is now Founder and Principal Consultant at Arpeggio Advisors, where he helps nonprofit leaders translate and employ the most powerful strategic management practices from the private sector.
