Sarah-Rose Dorton

The Literacy Lab

Sarah-Rose Dorton is a Program Associate at The Literacy Lab, a DC based non-profit working to provide low-income children individualized reading instruction in order to improve their literacy skills. She works as part of the program team to help manage The Metro DC Reading Corps, The Literacy Lab’s largest tutoring program. She joined The Literacy Lab staff after completing a year of AmeriCorps service with the first class of Metro DC Reading Corps tutors. Before moving to D.C. she worked with youth development programs through the YMCA in her home state of North Carolina. Sarah-Rose holds a Bachelor’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies and Religious Studies from The College of William and Mary.
