Thayer Surette

National 4-H Council, Cause and Retail Specialist

Thayer is a ProInspire Fellow with the National 4-H Council, the largest positive youth development organization in the United States. Working as the Cause & Retail Specialist, Thayer is responsible for cultivating, managing, and growing relationships with priority corporate partners as well as brainstorming and initiating innovative ideas to generate new revenue. Thayer began her career at EF Education as a tour consultant where she sold and marketed short term study abroad programs to educators in the Southeast region.  She then moved on to working in Corporate Fundraising at the Boston Symphony Orchestra where she assisted in managing a fundraising committee of Boston’s top executives and CEOs and worked on the two signature corporate events, which brought in over $2 million annually. Prior to leaving Boston,Thayer also served on the Executive Committee for Minds Matter of Boston, a mentoring organization for high achieving, low-income youth. She ran the organizations largest annual fundraising gala, which was responsible for raising over $50,000 of essential operating funds and always her favorite night of the year.  Thayer graduated from Boston College with a B.A. in Theater Arts. She is an avid singer and still tries to see as much theater as possible.
