Twana Whitlock

Associate Director, Agency Relationships, Driving The Dream

Twana Whitlock is a 2019 graduate of ProInspire Leadership Institute. Twana serves as the Associate Director, Agency Relationships for Driving The Dream, United Way of the Mid-South’s, social innovation initiative. She serves with an extensive knowledge that spans over 15 years in working with strategic program and organizational development, capacity building, and growth initiatives. Her expertise includes working with agencies to improve quality advocacy and governance, driving collective impact, strengthening community and corporate partnership, building systems and sustainable community change. As Associate Director she develops and engages a high-performing network of nonprofit agencies through a collaborative and holistic approach across a wide array of programs and services. She leads the intensive and tailored support provided to agency leadership and customer-facing staff. Twana earned a B.S. in Business and Organizational Development from Bethel University and earned a Masters of Public Administration, from the University of Memphis, with a Graduate Certificate in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership. She is a certified Lifetime trainer of Bridges Out of Poverty, Getting Ahead in a Just- Gettin’- By World, and Transition to Success TM. In addition, she serves on the board of the Shelby County TN Community Services Agency, is a graduate of Leadership Memphis, a member of Junior League of Memphis, and enjoys volunteering, serving the community, spending time with family and friends, and reading. Twana is extremely excited to join the council and look forward to working to strengthening and building the next generation of leaders.
